In the power grid, due to the existence of energy storage elements (generally the coils of motor and transformer), with the fluctuation of voltage, reactive current is formed between the power supply and elements and charged and discharged. Reactive power compensation is to use the energy storage element with completely opposite properties in parallel with this element to make the charging and discharging process between the two energy storage elements, so as to shorten the path of reactive current, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing reactive power loss and line voltage drop. Therefore, in general, reactive power compensation is considered according to the principle of near compensation.
Based on the consideration of reducing the reactive current and balancing the three-phase power of the short grid of the submerged arc furnace, according to the layout of the three electrodes and the short grid of the submerged arc furnace, the reactive power compensation access point is close to the electrode, and the compensation point is selected at the connection between the short grid and the electrode, which further shortens the path of the reactive current and reduces the loss caused by the reciprocating of the reactive current between the short grid and the secondary side of the furnace transformer. Connect to the bus copper plate at the in-phase jumper to reduce the reactive power loss of the short-circuit network.
